Concentrate on the benefits and remind yourself of this when you start to weaken. And try to be positive.

:hi: Joaquim,
Promise yourself some kind of treat once you have finished a workout. Make yourself not have it if you don't go.
Worked for me when I was able to go and do these things. ;)

Hi there Joaquim,
Have you thought about timing? I know that I'm terrible for putting some things off for another day, especially if I can find something "more important" to do, like feed that cat or water the plants ::)
Maybe it would help if you sat down and worked out a timetable that you knew you would have free time for doing your workout. Also having to do something everyday can make it a bit boring, could you arrange it so you workout on certain days and have a break on days in between ?
If you want to stick to working out every day maybe you could rotate the exercises on different days to help break up the routine too.
Vals idea of a treat sounds good too. It doesn't have to be expensive, it could be anything that you enjoy. But it certainly helps to give yourself something to work towards.
What sort of workout are you doing at the moment? |

Hi There Joaquim
Keep at It .. Give It another go .
I always find that by setting yourself little goals and personal achievements helps . also as Nick says .. Time management..
Decide your Little goals , write them down and set out a time frame to complete these goals . I always find if you can allocate a period each day to set out a time is good .. Start with say Half an Hour etc .. and break it down with a variety of workout tasks and so on increase by say 15 minuites every second week ..
Hope that may be of help

The biggest problem with our desires to achieve something(in yr case workout) in not the lack of discipline but the goals we are having.Don't try to acheve things which peole have achieved for years.Start small.I am better at giving advice than following it;)But this has worked for me in other areas. The fact that u have stopped doesn't mean that u have abolished all yr previous attempts. As Toma Aquinas had said-"A habit overcomes habit".It is wise not to imgine that u will achieve the body of a famous body builder but to have the right image about yrself. To accept yrself. To be jentle and firm with yrself. If u have been to the gym for 2 weeks-great,then u have stopped for 1 month-well that's ok.Go on from the place u have started. And try to enjoy the process not to pursue a goal. My problem though is that I get very bored with all kinds of activities like that.It should be something to entartain my mind as well(definitely not swimming)but some marshal arts are good at that.Try something else if work out doesn't work for u.Find friends to go with.....well that's all I can say.

:hi: Hi Joaquim
I allways thought that you were supposed to work out every other day, leaving a day between for the muscles to build. it does seem to work out better that way for my hubby, then each day isnt the same old routine.
I agree with Teodora, just cause you dont do it for a while, dont punish yourself, you have been exercising, and thats more than some of us ;) me :-[
You can allways come to Skincell and tell us all about your workout, and we can give you your deserved Slap on the back ;D each time, a bit of back up works for me  |

take it one day at a time and dont push yourself too hard.
it proberbly wont feel like its a chore if you do it in a time that fits into your own routine.
dont worry celery i dont exercise either :-[ |
