Hidden Delight of Psoriasis

Hi, all.
I have just read this article in the British Medical Journal, and it is quite amazing.

Didn't know that John Updike and V. Nabokov had psoriasis...
Enjoy,
Alan

Both Updike and Nabakov are indeed talented, even brilliant writers. But the delight of psoriasis is pretty well hidden. I was unable to find it.

It is interesting to see this article in a medical journal, indeed. I would have thought that having a disease such as acute psoriasis would lend some insight into the mind of an isolated and outcast hero. It is interesting to see that doctors are apparently taking some interest in that aspect of the disease.
(The only novel of either of these authors that I have read is Lolita)

I started uva treatment today, and like John updike i find it a great pleasure to "stand almost naked in a glowing telephone booth" knowing that once my treatment has finished it will be my salvation.
