Mo, did the doc explain why the test was being done?  Do you need to return to the doc to get an explanation of the results?  From what I gather, protein in the urine may be a sign of kidney disfunction.  Here are a couple of websites for you:

http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/003580.htm

http://diabetes.about.com/cs/kidneydisease/p/urine_protein.htm

Don't be scared yet, Mo!  Wait till you've seen a doc and had your test results interpreted.  They can tell you what all this stuff means and what can be done about it.

But I suffer from this I  usely get course of treatments and once  I  had to stay in to be put on a Machine. The Test is pretty simple.

Hi Mo

protien in the urine is a very common problem. It can be as simple as the urine being contaminated when the sample was taken (very common when you collect a sample yourself in a clean container that may not be as clean as you think). It could be a urine infection, cystitis, kidney infection or something similar.

I wouldn't worry too much Mo, you may find that the next test is negative - if not your gp should prescribe you with antibiotics which are specific for this type of problem.
