Aww Poochie I am so sorry to hear this! I know how awful sinus pain can be. I can't think of anything that you have not already mentioned. Poochie here is something you might want to consider tho. A few weeks ago I bought one of those air purifiers that remove all the pollens and allergens from the air. It cost me Ģ60 and it has really made a big difference to my nose and sinuses. I keep it in the living room and after breathing the pure air for a while my head feel so much clearer. I still have some congestion coz I have to go outside and it is not realistic to stay in one room all the time but overall it has made a big difference.

i dont know if this will help you but it helps me. try taking two fingers on each side of your nose by your eye bones put alot of pressure on them and bring them down to your cheek bones. sometimes it will release some of the pressure from your sinuses.also might want to try affrin if havent already. good luck.

You mentioned usings Vicks, let me just ask you something here, did you try the liquid form? Here they have come out with a now 50 percent stronger-it would say on the bottle-liquid that I find works much better.Pills often mostly get absorbed by the stomach and are not as fast or effective. This Vicks liquid is also non drowsy.Another medication would be nose sprays like becanese,or flonase-to be used at the sametime Vicks liquid. Theres also another nasal spray my allergist gave me,but be aware it is very strong and will make you drowsy, its called"Astelin",here by perscription only. Not sure if its under the same name there, this is the brand name. Hope this helps some.

Hi Poochie It will help you if you do as Sunflower says. It's part of the facial massage routine that I do and it will help to drain your sinuses. Probably best to have some moisturiser on first so not to drag the skin. Use your 'wedding ring finger' and same finter on other hand). Press quite firmly as close as possible to side of nose under the eyes, release the pressure slightly and drain out following lie of eye socket towards temple. Then do the same starting at side of nose following cheek bone to temple and finally across your eyebrows. You should feel everything moving I hope you feel better soon - I know it hurt's Donna

thank you all. i have tried using my fingers on my face, when i touch my face under my( eyebrow) (above my eyelid) it hurts so much, does anyone know about saline irrigation, i have been reading alot on this subject, sounds promising. the directions say i could do it myself, 3 teaspoons sea salt , 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 quart warm water. the directions say to put this in a syringe, or squeeze bottle and squirt it up my nose to clean out my sinusis. im going to try this too, cannot take the pain any longer.

I had the same thing, so I started taking anti-congestion med's. It would allow me to sneeze or cough it out. And everytime I sneezed or blew my nose, I made sure I got a lot of (mucus) or boogies out. Its that your sinus are packed with (mucus) or boogies and the bacteria is causing the infection to spread and cause pain. So you must sneeze like you never sneeze before!

It sounds like your immune system is very low, your body is acidity internally and you are not a breakfast person. Do you: bruse often, get an odor from the mucus, bleed when brushing teeth, use mouth washes smoke?
Try detoxing the liver and other vital organs encluding your largest organ, (your skin) no antipersperant deoderants. Let the toxants flow, get the chemicals out!
Good Luck.

Hi Poochie, I suffered from sinusitis for years. A friend convinced me to try zone therapy. I didnīt believe that treating my feet would do any good to the sinusitis, but it did. After about one hourīs treatment a lot of pus and blood came out of my nose, and after another 5-6 treatments the sinusitis had gone. The zone therapist told me that my immune system was weak, so I continued to take treatments about once a month and the sinusitis has never come back. I know it might sound strange, but why not have a try? Just a word of warning: zone therapy hurts...for me it felt like walking on broken glass (but it got better after a few treatments!!)
Hope you get better soon! Emmie

i know ive already suggested some thing, but im going to suggest some thing else. i once read a book about a guy who had horrible sinuses. he tried every thing to help them even had them flushed 3 times a year because nothing else worked on them. he was half bed ridden because of them, turns out he was allergic to over 200 foods he was eating and what he thought was sinus problems was an actual allergic reaction. as bad as yours sound and the lack of help your reciving from treatments leads me to think you may want to give this a thought. if not i tried.

The only thing I know that seems to help sinus PAIN is of course prescribed pain meds and naproxin 500 mg. Aleve is a low dosage but a good script is 500mg and it is great for pain relief so you can take 2 or 3 of the actual aleve pills and not have to see the doc. Also benadryl 2x's a day for the stuffiness and a wonderful over the counter drug called loratadine just take one of those every morning. I do ramble to condence this 2 benadryl 2 or 3 Aleve 500mg 1 loratadine 10mg in the morning Thats what I do to get through the day when mine act up from time to time. Hope this helps Christy

heres something funny, the other night my husband felt so bad for me he put another mattress folded in half under the one we have, it was like sleeping on a steep hill. when i woke up in the morning my husband had slid all the way down to the bottom of the mattress, his body was half hanging on the floor. i asked him if he was comfortable, and guess what he said he said yes he would say anything to help me with my sinuses poor dear , (hehe) since then i took off the extra mattress, and brought 2 more pillows.
