When I see on the forum board that there is a new member and to welcome them..... I would like to but I don't know how if they haven't posted in the Introduction. Other then a private message to them then, is there a place to say  'welcome'?

Also...when a person gets a reply in one of the places that they have posted to... is there a way to get an alert saying that there was a reply??  I know that I got those 2 in email yesterday, but can you get an instant msg alert?? I hope you can follow me, and btw I know this is 2 questions and not one like I said in the subject...lol
have a good day all
OKD

oh my! never mind the last question, cause when I scrolled down I can see where I need to check the little box that will notify.... hmm.... DUH! to me is right  Huh

Hi Oke Hi there

1 question ? ?  2 questions ? ? who's counting? Wink  Not me Hug

For new members you are more than welcome to use the "Let me introduce myself" or "social club" boards, but we did tend to find that not all members would post (and at the rate we are growing I don't think we would get then all to fit on Laughing Out Loud )

As for messages .....

There are two ways that the forum can notify you about things. If you want to be told by email about a received Instant Message then do the following:

Click on "messages" at the top of the screen to take you into your Instant Message screen as normal. From there click on

This will then open a new screen in your profile for Instant Message Preferences.
Click on the selector box next to Notify by e-mail: and you will receive an email every time someone sends you an instant message.

As for the other form of notification, if you read and thread and want to be told when ever another member adds a message to that thread then click on

From there it will ask you to confirm that you want to be told about updates. Click on YES and from then on, every time a message is added, you will be told by email with a link taking you back to that message.
This facility can be turned off by following the instructions when you click on

I hope that helps Wink
