:-/ It's based on a percentage of body parts... for now.

I give each location on the body a value, and if you have psoriasis at that location, then it adds that value to your total.

Eventually, I'd like to add two things to this:

1) How much coverage is at each location - define a percentage.

2) What type of psoriasis it is.

Just got P-Mail off the ground.  Looking to code a few more "small" additions to the system before going head-first into version 2 - but it *will* happen. (Each small addition takes no less than a week for me to complete - coding/testing - on my current schedule.)

I appreciate all of the kind words, BTW.  Wink

Threw a link to Skincell on the front page.

As promised, I'll post an official link, along with a review, before the end of the week.  Cool

If you read early into this thread, you'll see that there are improvements planned for a more area-specific percentage system.

Please don't be depressed, instead do this...

Take the percentage that you are given, then deduct a fair percentage of that according to how much coverage is in each of those troubled spots.

For example, if you defined your back as a troubled spot, that's about 5-8% of your body according to MyP.  It doesn't necessarily mean that your entire back is covered, though.  If a quarter of your back is covered, then you could knock that total down to about 1-2%.

It'll firm up as I develop new versions that give us more control over our individual profiles.  The current "Profile.asp" page took me close to a month to get right (visual database of troubled areas for both male and female, ect.) - and I've still worked on it every day since I started - so it's only a matter of time until the system is fine-tuned.

Thanks to SC, we gained about 20 more members and we're very close.

I'm working on implementing the search feature as I type this.  We just need more folks to add items to their treatment history so that everyone else knows what they're using.

For any recent members to the forum who suffer from Psoriasis, you might like to pay a visit to Gary's own site

It's a really unique method of keeping track of you P coverage and the treatments you have tried - A recommended site.
