My fellow members, There are few things that I would say I have ever been truly honoured to announce but today I have the great pleasure in doing just that. This evening I received notification from an Organisation called Health On The Net (or HON). The purpose of HON is to ensure that medical websites thoughout the internet obey the highest of moral and factual standards, in the same way as medical doctors themselves obey strict rules and regulations. Only once a medical website reaches a high level of moral and profession standing may they even be considered for HON membership. Membership carries with it great responsibility for the website and significantly increased credibility and respect from the professional medical community around the world. So, it is with tremendous pride in the sustained acievements of all of our members that I can announce that SkinCell has been awarded full certification under the HON Code of Conduct. As such we are now entitled to display our own certifcated HON CODE logo which links directly to HON, allowing any visitor to verify us as HON accredited. Our own certificate will now be proudly be displayed on all pages in SkinCell. This award is particularly sweet because as far as I am aware we are the ONLY medical self help forum on the whole of the Internet to be granted this award. Thank you to you all for your fantastic contributions that has made this award, OUR AWARD, possible. |

Fantastic new's Now the doctor's, derm's and the rest of the medical world, cannot tell us that a web based forum, has little worthwhile use, except as a place for sufferes to come together and socialise. Which we know, has happened in the past. We can, and do make a difference, to sufferes lives, by getting good, accurate information on treatments, and conditions, and still manage to socialise. Well done everyone As Peter say's, "SkinCell is going from strength to strength"
