 Hi there, I'm sure you have all read me banging on about the HS and how there is little research or treatment. There is a new petition going on now, for everyone to sign, including anyone that doesnt have HS, in an attempt to raise awareness. Please, please take 2 mins to go there and sign it. Thanks Gobe I know its shocking isnt it  I wouldnt say 'none' but very little research certainly. I have written to so many TV programmes & magazines asking them to do a feature on HS, but no one has taken me up on it, most dont even reply  We so desperately need to raise awareness. The thing is I truly believe that more people have HS than are diagnosed, but they dont even realize its a disease, they put it down to being 'prone' to boils. OR feel too embarressed to visit the docs, as it usually effects the most intimate places. I lived with it from the age of 13/14 till I was 30 before I was diagnosed, up untill then I didnt tell anyone, not even my folks  So, I'll make a stand here.... I'v got a spotty bum and I dont care who knows !!  |

Thanks Val I was just taking a look and saw your name pop on there There are some heart wrenching comments Its going well, hope it continues, plenty more HS people I know of that need to sign but early days..... Not much chance of a celeb having it, as we all stay shut in the house  You can spot us by our funny walks and arms stuck to our sides so keep your eyes peeled on those celebs
