« on: Tuesday July 01, 2003, 09:31:49 PM »

A number of really generous members have expressed a wish to be able to help advertise SkinCell in the real world. I'm sorry it has taken so long to organise, but at last we now have a page dedicated to accessing and printing posters.

http://www.skincell.org/posters.shtml

Currently we have a single poster available but (thanks to Val) we have more on the way being written in html. We will be adding the extra posters over the next few days.

If you would like to help to spread the word then please feel free to print off the poster and ask your local medical centre, clinic, doctors surgery, dermatology department or even a supermarket or pharmacy if they have a notice board.

Any publicity would obviously be very gratefully received.

Right, I'm off to the health centres near my home and the one around the corner from my work tomorrow. If only 1 person in a thousand should happen to visit us and gets just one good tip, one snippet of advice or one morcel of encouragement then it will be well worth my trip Smiley Big Hug

Thanks everybody.

So far I have passed one of the posters to a lady in the chemist who told me yesterday that her daughter has P. I am also going to send  printouts to (at least) 4 local doctors surgeries, and the dermatology clinic at the main county hospital in Oxford.

I just wanted to spread the news about SC as I have found it so helpful since I joined, even if it is just to compare notes and realise at last that I am not the only one.

AC don't worry you didn't miss a recent post, I dragged it up from deepest darkest "somewhere-or-other" because I did a search for "posters" and found it... as I wanted something for the lady I met yesterday.

New Poster now available in Adobe Acrobat format at

http://www.skincell.org/posters.shtml

This poster has less content than the other so that the larger text can (hopefully) be read across a waiting room....

please download, print and distribute!

I'll print a few off and take them around on my next doctor's trips.  I also put the poster on my website.
