I keep noticing that the
Chat Room Activity list up there on the main menu and members online list keeps slowing the forum down.
When ever I disable the link reading who is in the chat room the forum immediately speeds up - and speeds up a lot too.
I was going to try and find an alternative way of reading the data that the current method which uses a script, but as some members still find it hard to get into the chat room I'm going tp have a look at some alternatives again and see what would work out best for everybody.
I'll keep you all informed as I make progress with it
