Tooth infection and extraction on prednisone
« on: Wednesday September 05, 2012, 05:56:04 AM »
It has been a while since I posted as things have been going along quite well, till lately. I found out I have an infection under a tooth and it has to be pulled out. I'm still on a low dose of prednisone and wondering if I should increase it on the day of the extraction and also take some antibiotics, I know this is a question for my immunologist but he is away on hols, I'll have to ask my gp but he doesn't like to commit to answers to questions like this. I have been told In the past by my derm that having a tooth extracted could cause a flare of my disease too, does anyone have any experience with any of this stuff?

Yowsa. I have no idea. (Man, what a pathetic waste of post!)

All I can do is wish you luck on this one...
