WARNING, VILE PIC BELOW....

Please don't scroll to look at the pic if you are going to eat shortly as it is not a very nice pic really. I have started taking pics over the last couple of weeks because I am frustrated by what is or should I say is not happening to help with this condition....

I spent 4 hrs at the A & E last night as I was in quite a bit of pain and had pus pouring from one of my 3 problem areas. Maybe I am wrong but I think that maybe they should have done somethinG more than just give me more anti biotics last night, I don't know what they can do but being sent hoMe with wounds pouring with pus just does not seem right to me at all, it really doesn't.

I took this pic last night when I was back home just to see exactly what it was like and this is probably as "wet" as it has been for a while but seems that there is nothing anyone can do........just great.

Sorry if anyone finds the pic offensive it is not my intention and I would imagine everybody reading this forum has an interest anyway and will have probably seen much worse along the way but this is just one of the 3 areas I am struggling with right now and it is the worse of the 3. I have this "wet" area which is always liek this but not maybe as bad and 2 other areas which have the sores and also abcesses every two weeks or so, this pic of the wet area started out with abcesses but they do not get as big now probably when they come up just the size of a large marble...obviously because they are leaking permanently so do nto build and burst like the others which go like golf balls or if I am really unlucky like baseballs.

This area has been pretty much "wet" for about 4 or 5 months and every now and again it goes like this with the pus "running" in my words, you can actually see the pus running down my groin area. It is very very sore, it is impossible to wear clothes, I just sit around open legged. I use a savlon spray which I have been told by dr that is ok to use, I have been advised to cover with meepores which I cannot do as the sticky part irritates the outer area of my skin REALLY bad and inflames it within hours. I have tried other types of dressing with medical tape but because of the area it is and the fact it is so wet it is near impossible to keep anything in place...not really sure if something in place permanently is the answer anyway........just wish and hope a medical person can give some sound advice and help because it is becoming rediculous now....

Hi Johnboy, I don't have any advice or help for you, but I hope somebody w/HS will come along who might be able to offer some help.

I'm so sorry for the misery you are having to endure. I'm sure it must be horrendously sore. I had a friend who had leaking fissures in that area and he used to use a sanitary pad to mop us to to speak. It helped because nothing was stuck to his skin.

Thanks for your reply and help Jane

I will try that and see if it is a help for me. Fortunately today is looking a lot better, not much int he way of leakage so fingers crossed I will be over the worse of that session and stable for a week or two.

Thanks again.
