I was recently diagnosed by a dermatologist with pityriasis rosea. I had lived through seven months of this, and had 5 doctors saying it was ringworm. At this point it covers my whole upper body including two on my neck and forhead

The derm said it has gone "chronic" I said that means it never goes away? and he said no it doesnt mean it will never go away, but when will it?? I said I dont know! He then prescribed me prednisone and betaderm oint. I am supposed to be on the predinsone for a month. This has been the worst thing in my life so far. At one point I believed it was related to leukemia, diabetes, or hiv which an emergency doctor recommended all of which I be tested for. those tests all came back fine. My pityriasis rosea isnt itchy most of all it is mentally hard to deal with as I have to wear scarves and long sleeve shirts all the time, and I work in a place where I deal with the public all day. This is my story with it, and after dealing with it for seven months so far my heart goes out to anyone who has developed this skin condition.
