Hi all, my second attempt at trying to get some help, advice or opinions.

Near the end of my 6-7 month course of isotretinoin therapy, 20mg twice a day, I started to notice that the skin on my chest wasn't quite right. My skin had done lots of silly things during the isotretinoin therapy, I thought this was just another, until it started to bloom lots of large pustules.

At its worse it was unbearable, I was too self conscious to take my shirt off to even go to the beach. Almost 8 months later, ITS STILL THERE- admittedly not as bad as it use to be, but none the less, STILL there =(

I've been on antibiotics for 8 months or more, and currently have just had my antibiotics switched, again, to cephelexin 500mg twice daily.

I wash once-twice a day, and am currently trailing a neutrogen wash and a benzyl peroxide 5% cream after to see if it improves my chest.

If you have ever had a folliculitis and dumbed it down or gotten rid of it, PLEASE, give me your suggestions and advice.

Many thanks

I have only had a very mild case of what I think was folliculitis. But I've got a friend with it, and she's pretty miserable.

In my experience, washing with just plain water and not wearing tight clothing was the answer. But like I said, mine was a mild case. Still, scrubbing did make it worse.

Hope you find an answer soon,.
