Pro-Biotics for Eczema patients

I would just like to share what I am going through now. I am by no means endorsing the product or am advising it as a 'cure' to Eczema (there is, after all, no known cure). The following statements made by me are just to open up more 'options'.

I've recently been prescribed pro-biotics (Prolactor 10-B) by my dermatologist for my battle against Eczema since he predicts that my Eczema is more based on allergic triggers. It's been a month since starting on them (consuming 1 pill every morning), and have so far been showing some improvements to my skin albeit a recent flare up (which isn't as bad as my previous ones).

I find this to be working so far although the doctor said I can only see its full effects on 3-4 months from the day I first start taking it, and am wondering who else is taking this 'nutritional supplement' on this message boards? I am actually expecting a slower growth in results (maybe 4-5 months) because I am living in an environment with cats (i'm allergic to cat fur) and I have no way to get rid of it.

If anyone intends to try this out, please consult your local dematologist first.

Also, I was informed recently that I may have to avoid certain food/activity/consumptions while under pro-biotics. Anyone heard of this? My dermatologist did not mention anything (he may have forgotten). If so, what should I avoid?
