Hi, I'm Jac, mother of T, a six year old with vitiligo, eczema, and high functioning autism (Asperger's Syndrome), which is a fun combination to deal with! He really objects to 'sensible clothing' - particularly hats, long sleeves and long trousers in summer - finding it very restrictive, and using sunblock that smells 'yummy' is very important to him so we can't just use any old brand. Sigh.

The eczema is reasonably mild, thankfully (unlike his father who suffers very badly with it) and is usually well controlled by keeping him away from citrus fruit and similar, but the vitiligo is spreading very quickly - we first noticed his fingers developing patches last summer and now it's very obvious all over, particularly on his legs. Keeping him adequately covered in sunblock is a never-ending task... any tips on getting him to stand still long enough for good application gratefully received!   Wink

Hiya, Jac, and welcome to SkinCell!

Oi, yes, that would be wicked fun!  Not!  My son (now in his 30s) also has Asperger's syndrome, so I know how important it is for things to be just right in his world.  I'm sorry I haven't any good tips for getting the sunscreen on him--maybe someone else has some input.
