Dear Moderators,

What is hardcore sex stuff doing on this forum?
Please let me know.  This isn't my scene at all.  I am here due to my genuine auto-immune skin problem and I will remove myself from this forum if it has other "attractions".
Thank you,
Elisa

At the bottom right of every post made there is line saying "Report to moderator".  If you click that, and you can enter a reason for the report, you can report any post to the moderation team.  They get emails saying that a post has been reported and can act on it ASAP.

The posts will be deleted, as soon as a mod sees it (or a report about it). Smiley

Dear Members,

The offending content has now been removed, and the user in question has been banned from the forum. Smiley

I can assure everyone that the forum does not have any other attractions. Smiley

I would, however, like to take the oppurtunity to remind everyone that both Admin and Moderators are only human beings.

Of course, we all try to keep the forum as safe and as family friendly as possible, and in this instance (and in other similar instances) the team acted as quickly as it could. We don't sit in front of our computers all day waiting for bad stuff to happen. In my personal case, I have been at work all afternoon, and other members of the team have families to care for.

The other point to note is that there is a tremendous amount of work goes on behind the scene to try and filter out spammers and other nasty people. But in the age where you can pop to an internet cafe, register an anonymous e-mail address and upload content from a USB stick, all in the time it takes to drink a cup of coffee, there will always be someone who slips through the net.

It should be noted (as Guzzi rightly says) there is the "Report Post" function, which will e-mail the entire team. It was used in this case, and we are thankful for that. Smiley

Matt.

Yep, As Matt rightly said. We're only human and this needs to be put in to context.
It's the first human porn spammer that has got through our defences in many many months.
A word of praise to the moderating team for their excellent work in keeping 99.9% of porn off the forum.
If you think the team aren't doing a good job I can gladly provide you with links to forums that are are nothing but 100% porn links and pics.

Guzz, thank you - you are quite right. A click on the "report to moderator" does get a much better response because we are told about it much sooner. Thumbs up
