Gah.

I've been newly diagnosed for about a month or so now, after having redness, burning and plaque under my arms for about two years. I finally got to a decent derm.
I'm living in a hot sub-tropical climate (at least until August when I move to cooler Jerusalem) and the heat is doing me no good. Yesterday I found myself having to stop and sit for an hour before walking home from some in-town errands.
I've been given two anti-psoriatic creams which reduce the redness though not the burning. I have tried every cooling, soothing and anti-chaffing cream I could get my hands on, ice, compresses, you name it. Nothing. And I'm stuck washing the areas with "intimate" soap. I just want a little relief! I want to be able to walk outside during the summer and not be in constant pain!

Does anyone have any suggestions on getting the burning to calm down?
I have a feeling this is more of a rant than an actual call for help.

Have you tried pure Aloe Vera?

Who hasn't?

Funny story, actually. I put a tube of aloe vera on the counter at the pharmacy, and as a pure long shot asked the chemist if she possibly had anything stronger to combat psoriasis. She gave me a lotion called "Exomega" by a French company called A-Derma, listed as an emollient cream with Omega 6 and Vitamin B3. It's helped somewhat. I certainly recommend it.
