Andy, want us to pick you and wifely one up? It's a nice thought Bama, but the train you'll be on doesn't stop at Biggleswade - you'll be doing 125mph as you come through the station...

Sadly there are no transatlantic trips in the budget this summer... Hubby's taking me to Paris for my (*gasp*) 40th birthday in October, and this summer, we're renovating the basement....
But I would dearly have loved to come!

Dangit all... Matty may well be right. I want to see everybody... I do too, and it looks like very few people can make it that weekend. Of course, Mrs Bamawing, you're more than welcome to have a holiday in Skeggy. I'll be around a while, and I'd love to show you the beach, my ever-the-best niece, Bateman's Brewery, and proper fish and chips.

Should we put it off for a year? The Big International Rash Bash I mean. I still want to come see as many people as possible... when does Nick usually have the Rash Bashes?

If it were me, I'd say don't put anything off. Get together with everybody you can and find another time for those who can't make it to this one. totalfolly

I agree with TF - set a date and choose a location and I'm sure all who can will come If you keep putting something off it'll most likely never happen... AndyB

In that case, I declare Rash Bash 2009 to be in Skegness on Sunday, Aug 2. And I cross my fingers and declare The First Major International Rash Bash to be on the week of September 17-21, 2010. So save your money and mark your calendars. ...um, if this is OK with everyone...?

I MIGHT make it to Skegness if I get up at 6 and pull a 2 hour blast along the motorway. Should be there for 10 at the very latest.

Don't get there too early mate... I don't think Bama can get there that early (knowing what the trains are like) and I'm driving from Sheffield that morning, so I'm probably not there before 11. But either way, it'll be good to catch up again..

Guzzi, Dan and I will be leaving the Undemocratik Republik and heading to Skeggy the same time you are. If you have a sidecar (and we somehow manage to talk Dan into it ) we can simply come with ya! Or you can catch the train with us, or whatever. <Bleep>, if you really want to and feel like spending the night, we can leave for Skeggy on the 1st. I don't care and Dan'll live.

Oh, i get it...you gotta change trains here Nope, we're actually staying in Stoke for the night. Dunno where yet... I found a hotel that looked good near the train station, but after a lively exchange of ideas with Dan, we (and by "we" I mean "I") decided that it would be better if he made the hotel arrangements, since he's far pickier than I am. Do ya have any suggestions? Here's a brilliant idea: lemme post my travel itinerary as it stands. It's still subject to change. Jul 30 Fly into London Jul 31 Train to Stoke-on-Trent Aug 1 Stoke-on-Trent (Party with Guzzi!) Aug 2 Train to Skegness for Rash Bash Aug 3 Skegness (Party with Matty!) Aug 4 Party with Andy! Aug 5 More Party with Andy! Aug 6 Party in London! Aug 7 Oxford - Lunch-party with Woo (day trip) Aug 8 More Party in London! Aug 9 ? Aug 10 Fly home from London Anyone who wants to be part of Bama's MiniBash Tour of England, speak up now!

Hi Bama - just a thought - if you haven't bought your plane tickets yet and your first port of call is Stoke then you might be better off flying into Manchester or possibly Liverpool? (I'm assuming that there are flights in to these from where you're starting from in Germany...). They're both much closer to Stoke than London - Guzzi may be able to advise further?
