hi
glad you are a bit better. Can i ask you a question. I also have inflammation of the connective tissue between my ribs and have had rib fractures. Mine is because i have an enlarged heart that rubs against my ribs, I also have diminished lung capacity, due to an undetected heart defect which i had surgery on some years ago now.
my question is - do you get cramp/muscle spasms in your chest wall, upper sides and neck. I am sure my doctors think i am making it up but sometimes the spasms are so severe and i just wonder if its connectyed with the inflammation

Hello juliep,
my neck is always bothersome. So that would be a yes. My chest just always hurts to some degree. Breathing hurts, but I do not get cramps. If you have inflammation in your connective of your ribs your Dr. should treat it. I guess like me you can not take anti-inflamatory meds. so you are stuck with muscle relaxers or and heavy duty pain meds.
My Dr. did not listen to me till I had a bone scan and a cat-scan. that showed him that I was not lying. Have you had them done?
I look forward to hearing from you.

I had my lungs check out and ....... Things look good. I now have 80% of my lungs back. I still take blood thinners, don't like them at all but what can I do it keeps the clots away.
