Clap

I am so happy to have found this website!

I have suffered from hidradenitis suppurativa since shortly after giving birth to my first child over 16 years ago. I correlate it's onset to the hospital environment where I underwent a C-Section. I kind of go by the theory that I picked up some sort of bacteria that thrives in my system.

But, HEY....that's just my theory for my story. It seems that most of us have a different story and then, of course, there's the similarities. HS is so widespread that it stumps me that more research isn't being done on it. My gynecologist said that it was common. I'm assuming that he has seen it frequently.

From what I have read and seen on HS I have a mild case of it and I feel very fortunate for that. My heart goes out to those who suffer worse than I.

Like many of you I have tried everything under the sun to 1. CURE IT, 2. Find a way to control it. The most effective thing for me thus far has been Tumeric. I take 4 Tumeric capsules just about every day. Tumeric is 100% natural. You can even drink it as a tea but I don't recommend it. It's kind of hard to stomach. IF you google Tumeric you can read about it's medicinal properties (it has many!). I have been doing it for about 4 months and I have not had one boil since then. Granted this could be just a remission but I'm gonna keep being hopeful.

I first learned about Tumeric on this wonderful website, Ya'll! I say...try everything you can to find what works for you. But, make sure it is healthy for you. Give Tumeric a try! Keep reading here, posting here.

Pray for me and I'll pray for you! Together WE can find a cure!

Thank you to everyone for sharing your stories!

Welcome! And, glad to hear you have something working for you right now. I am completely unfamiliar with your condition....but I will probably google it and learn all about it now. That's what I love about this site. Sooo many different people, from different countries even, with different issues. I feel like I could be a dermatologist by now! hahahahahaha

See ya around!
