Troubled, some employers will offer health insurance and that may be your best bet--to find a job with health benefits.  If that isn't an option, you may just have to put aside a certain amount of money out of each paycheck to cover the cost of treatments.  Sad

There may be little or no relationship between the expense of a given ointment or lotion or medicine for your skin and its' value.  Therefore, assuming you are not rich, you might want to try the cheap uncomplicated products first, if you see that others have had good results.

There may be some value, under some circumstances, to using UV light to treat some skin condition.  But UV should not be taken lightly.  Under most circumstances, UV is more likely to harm the skin than to help it.

Please read my posts.  I am now totally free of pustular psoriasis for 12 months.  No drugs, no creams, nothing.  Our diets are causing psoriasis and environmental factors. Don't use dryer softener sheets, perfumed laundry soap, don't wear perfume, don't use SPRAY deoderant, hairspray, nail polish, avoid anything with high fructose corn syrup, which is in about everything, and avoid anything that has "modified" or "hydrogenated" on the ingredients too. Buy organic when possible.

I have worked in the Insurance field for many years and know that some companies have a pre existing clause, however that can be only from a period to let's say 3 possibly 6/9 month waiting period before they start to pay any claims in reference to a Pre Existing condition. I know each company operates different but depending on what state oyu live in there may also be a mandate which prohibits Insurance companies from penalizing for pre existing conditions..You may want to research further and call around..

Hi Troubled,
I'm in a similar situation where I don't have insurance. It sucks that the best benefits are thru employers. If you're not employed then you lose out on those benefits. And the medications are expensive.
