Hi everyone,

I have seborrheic dermatitis which has been particularly bad recently.  Generally, I try to limit my use of hydrocortisone cream and my derm has recommended ketoconazole cream (Daktarin Gold in the UK) as a possible alternative.  I have used miconazole (Daktarin) and clotrimazole (Canesten) as anti-fungals in the past but never found them effective, and very drying.  I use cetraben moisturiser, which seems to suit me.  I already use ketoconazole shampoo (Nizoral) which I think is helpful but it's the facial problem that bothers me most.  I get redness, dry flaky skin and a nasty rash, especially on the forehead.

Have any of you used ketoconazole as a topical cream in this way, and for my condition?  If so, do you have any advice or suggestions?  Any help would be very welcome.  Thanks.
