Strictly come dancing or the x- factor?
« on: Friday September 19, 2008, 04:31:49 PM »
That time of year again folks... but which do you prefer? Me personally, i love Simon Cowell, he's so sarcastically funny and honest so i guess it's x-factor( tape SCD and watch it on sunday!!)

Me too wooley, i think he is sooo sexy!! Some great singers on this year. Am following a wee 15 year old boy called Eoghan, he lives 8 miles away from me... he's really good

I like them both but the family prefers X factor so I usually have to watch Strictly on the iplayer at a later date.

So who do we want to win Strictly then ?

Hi wooley, how are you enjoying the show? Some great acts on.... Simon got it so wrong(i hate to admit) with scott, felt so sorry for him, so i voted for him  3 times... 4 votes went to wee eoghan, who was really good, perhaps i'm a bit biased

Hi anniemary

I don't have any firm favourites yet but I have to say I wasn't very inspired by the groups this year so I am not surprised that 2 of them have gone already.

The thing that surprised me the most about this series is that I was absolutely gutted that Sharon O left, but it turns out I absolutely love Cheryl as a judge - I think she's brilliant.

Well, am very annoyed today.... a grave injustice done last night. I sympathise with daniel with his wife dying but to continuosly get the sympathy vote is so unfair to the other contestants... felt so sorry for scott, his singing was a million times better

Wooley, has the whole of Britain gone mad or i'm going deaf? This is going from the sublime to the ridiculous....

I agree with you Woo, Cheryl is now my favourite judge.  ;D

I agree with you too Anniemary, I do feel for Daniel but I dont think he could ever be this years hottest popstar. His performance on Saturday night looked almost perverse, with those young ladies  :o

I havnt got a firm favourite to win, and have to admit that the music isnt what I am usually in to, but my favourite performance so far was Alexandra doing the Candy Man last week.

Another good singer out this week... but have come to realise that this is probably one of the reason's i love it so much, in a strange warped way... thought Rachel should have gone but anyway... wee Eoghan was brilliant this week(his best performance to date), then maybe i'm biased(infact i'm totally biased lol)

Yippeee, public finally got the bottom 2 right... Daniel and Rachel... i've been one of Daniels biggest critics from day dot but i think Rachel should have gone on saturday... the judges keep saving her. Actually felt a bit sorry for Daniel ???

 O yes, agree with you on the bottom two Annemarie. My money is on Eoghan too, he is such a cutie. He needs to believe more in himself tho, he didnt think he could get those high notes but I think he coped just fine. Sorry, I just dont get Dianna, I feel that she damaged her voice because she is doing something that is unnatural, I dont like it.

Rhydian isnt my cup of tea personally but I agree he is certainly a showman and deserves to be in the West End !

...and on the other...

See ya Sergent ! It was about time he went afterall. I know it IS the rules for the public to vote, but surely, it is to vote who they thought was the better dancer, he really was so rubbish, the joke has long since stopped being funny for me. oooo its anyones game now !

Not keen on Diana either Barefoot, i think she puts all that quirkiness on too much, thought her "singing?" was awful on saturday night but lots of people think she will win... i hope not!!

I personally can't bear Diana - she sounds like she is singing through her nose to me??? I don't understand why the judges like her so much - she got quite a few notes wrong on Saturday too.

I agree Wooley, don't hear what the judges hear, esp Simon who normally gets it so right
