LEG ULCER GETN WORSE.

IVE HAD MY LEG ULCER 4 NEARLY 2YRS NOW,AT FIRST IT WAS ONLY THE SIZE OV A FIVE PENCE ,NOW ITS TOTALY COVERING THE BOTM HALF OV MY LEG AND ANKLE.IV TRYD HONEY,SILVER DRESSINGS,IODINE,WELL 2 NAME A FEW.I FEEL IM JUST BEING FOBD OFF ALL THE TIME,IM IN COMPRESSION AT MO WITH AN INFECTION [AGAIN] THE ULCER IS GETN BIGGER AND THE PAIN IS AWFUL,IS THERE ANY SUGGESTIONS OR ADVICE ANY 1 COULD GIV IM AT MY WITS END.                                                                                                                                                                    THANKS  LIVNLUV.

is the ulcer in ur mouth??? cause ive heard of when u hav an ucler that doesnt heal, its a starting to mouth cancer...

Oh my. I am sorry sorry, hun. Do you know what has caused it? I know Diabetes can cause it, I don't know if knowing the cause could help it any or not. Do you have that condition? Have the doctors not done anything? If they don't know what to do, perhaps search for another one, if you find someone that knows more about that type of thing, it'd be likely to get better treatment.

my mum suffered a while back with a reacurring leg ulcer and against docs and nurses advice to keep the same dressing on until she had her next appoinment ,she would regularly change the dressing and let some air get to it[it was a bad one also ]
i know they say an ulcer heels better with the same dressing but my theory is how can it if its festering..lets face it if we have a plaster thats gone ganky we change it.........

i am not advising you to do it as you know your on body but if you do expose iot beware of flys as their acid will sting like mad if they want a feed
