EMPLOYED!!!
« on: Friday June 20, 2008, 06:27:56 PM »
It's a summer school teaching job, but who's complaining? I really needed this boost... not to mention more experience, a foot in the door, and a feather in my cap.

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Drinks on me. Get smashed. ;D

Great news indeed! :yay:

I really hope it goes well for you, Bama - and who knows, with a foot firmly in the door, it might lead to other Good Things too! :cf:

Thanks. :D I think it just might lead to other opportunities.

Dan and I celebrated in the best possible way: we went out to eat, and then I read a book. Like the whole thing. Fortunately for me, it was a good book: The Catcher in the Rye. I had an excuse to read an entire novel at one sitting, too... I'm teaching it on Monday!! ;D

That has such a lovely sound....

Well done!

You'll enjoy summer school.  It's more relaxed and laid back than the regular school year...

I think you should go to a restaurant where the service is a bit faster next time, Bama

Thanks, Liga. :hugs:

Well, first day gone. :) As is to be expected, I nearly ran out of time on the first class and completely ran out of lesson plans on the second. ::) That's OK. Now I feel like I have a better idea of what I'm working with, and I'm outlining the rest of the week.

Plus, I've already asked for advice and received it. I became fast friends with the other lady I'm teaching with... she's only going to teach for this week and then she'll be gone. :( I hope the next person will be just as cool. :) I bet she will. :)
