Thank you everyone. I think Luke enjoyed his birthday. My family are away, so (as we normally would have seen them) we went out for the day to Gullivers Land which is a theme park aimed at children. Luke had his first ever go on a merry-go-round which he loved. In fact, when it came to a stop and we lifted him up, he started crying... so we had another go... and another and another. There wasn't anyone waiting so I think in all my 3 children stayed on that ride for about 6 turns!!! Really sweet. The park closed at 5.30, so we went to Pizza Hut afterwards and despite not sleeping all day, Luke was the most cheerful person around the table... he's so good... I can't believe he is 1 though, time certainly does fly past. Wooley

It sounds like the whole family had a great time on Luke's big milestone, his first birthday. He is so adorable. Wooley, whenever I see a newborn, I always think of how fast they grow. Whenever I tell a first time mother that they will be surprised at how fast that first year goes by, they just don't believe it. Then, they are the first to tell me that they cannot believe how fast that first year went. I know that you probably feel that same way, but you are an experienced mother, so you already knew that.

Well, I have a little surprise up my sleeve...
A short while ago, I had a little day out to Wooley-land, and managed to get a wonderful picture of the recent birthday boy.
With parent's permission, I can now post it....
Uncle Matt.
