Hi Nick, been having a bit of trouble logging into the site for a couple of days. really slow, resulting in having to click on later. Then there has been a problem posting, the page really slow to open after clicking the post button. Just wondered if anybody else was having this problem?
thanks bunnie

Bunnie,

If you could do a trace-route, it would help pinpoint where the problem might be.

If you click on Start...Run... and then type cmd into the little box that pops up.

Then, you'll have a black window appear. Type tracert www.skincell.org into the window, and press enter.

What your computer will then do is trace the route back to Skincell. Don't worry, your IP address will not appear on the list.

When it has finished, you'll need to copy it all into a post on here.

On my machine (Windows XP Pro), you have to click in the menu in the top left corner, then click on "Mark", then select everything in the window, then click on the top-left menu, then click on "copy".

Then go to a posting window on Skincell and click on edit... paste. You should end up with something like this...

C:\Documents and Settings\MC>tracert www.skincell.org

Hi Matt did that, but nothing happened!
I followed your instructions to the point where the black box appears. I could not type in that box. So I right clicked and a menu appeared , and on that list "find".  Another box appeared I typed in what you said, but also in that box was a check box "direction" (up or down) I left it marked down as it was, and clicked the "find Next" button (the only one there.) My computer stack bleeped! Just one bleep when I clicked on the find next button.
I had no problems this morning logging in! Could it be too many trying to log in at one time? I noticed when I did manage there were 288 guests!
