Dear All

DD and I have such an exciting day ahead of us. I was browsing a website a few weeks back and I noticed this page http://www.gltc.co.uk/fcp/content/stars/contentfull

I spoke to DH about it because our daughter only has to see a camera and she strikes a pose, so I thought it would be fun for her. So I sent off 2 photos... and she has been called in for a photoshoot for the Autumn/Winter catalogue!!!

So I am driving into London today - very scary for me but very exciting for her.

I think it will be a fun day.

That is great news, Wooley. Your daughter is such a beautiful child.
Of course they would want her,for their catalogue, she's gorgeous.
Let us know what happened.

So, it was quite a long drive (2 and a half hours there due to appalling weather and traffic). My neighbour had DS1, luckily, but I took DS2 with us.

As we walked in, the whole team there started saying how lovely Sarah was. I felt so proud of her. They also did a fair bit of oggling at Luke too, it has to be said.

Sarah was fantastic... she so enjoyed it and did everything they said. The words "front cover" were heard more than once    Faint She is also going to be on the website so I will post links at the time.

I honestly thought this was to be a one off for the experience, but they seemed to love her and I wouldn't be surprised if they call us back for more. Also the independent photographer and stylist wouldn't let me go without taking face shots of Luke and then Sarah too... and said they would call me if they had something that Luke could do...(and I quote) "only if it's fairly decent money like a baby food campaign". Again,  Faint I have to say he was passed around quite a lot and obviously quite a hit with all the ladies. The practising of flirting schools with the Mums at school has obviously trained him well...

It was a fun day. But 4 hours driving total and I am in for an early night!!!!

How neat, Woo!

From what I've heard, baby modelling can be very lucrative for the little ones.  What a great way to start a little nest egg for them!

I know what you mean, Itchychick... to be honest I was going to take Sarah today just for fun but when the confirmation email came through, it stated that we would get £50 per hour in credit to spend at the company. We were there for almost 3 hours... that's a whole lot of toys!!!

50/hr though... I mean surely very few ADULTS earn at that hourly rate in their jobs. I was quite surprised to be honest!

Wow ! wooley ! It certainly is a good income, and I do hope Your little ones get plenty of opportunities, for modelling. I know children love it in the studio usually. (My brother was a photographer (before retirement) and did lots of work for some of our glossy magazines and catalogues.) Bunnie

By 8.30 today we were at DS1's pre-school as they had a photography company around to take photos of the children, and I wanted to finally get a nice photo of all 3 children together.. to please MIL as much as anyone as she has been nagging me for months for a photo of all of them...

Anyway there were 3 families there waiting. The photographer was setting up and wanted a "confident child for some test shots". So I looked at the other Mothers who were looking a bit nervous, and off Sarah went...   Laughing Out Loud

She is SUCH a poser... I have no idea where she gets it from as I HATE having my photo taken.

I have read that some kids just have the "pose gene", she must have gotten it, my eldest has it too and now she is dancing and singing as well as a bit of modelling. It will make it easy for Sarah to be a model anyway. they wont have to ask her to pose she will know what to do ...  Cheesy

Here is a link to the first photo that is now on the website:

The other item isn't on there yet. If you can't see her, search for "country rose cottage".

So proud of her!
