Hi bunnie
When I first told the orthopaedic that one of the doctors said I might have fibromyalgia he said he didn't know anything about that and after he gave me the diagnosis that I had the trochanteric bursitis of the hips
I ask him if he might know why I was aching all over he said that it was probably my fibromyalgia so he just  contradicted his self but I understand what your saying I'm not saying I don't believe his diagnosis I'm just saying I wanted a little more proof like a mri or a bone scan to make sure and to  rule out all other possibilities.  I know there is no test to prove that I have fibromyalgia but I want them to make sure that it is nothing else so in order to do that they have to rule out all other possibilities like arthritis ect. I think I read on web md that a x-ray would not show up bursitis of the hips and I read also that it says to rest the area not over work it. I also read on web md that if you over work it it might cause you to have surgery. I will find it and post it for you to read. I'm trying to get in to see a rheumatology but they told me I would have to be referred by my regular doctor I have an appointment to see him Monday and hopefully I will be seeing a rheumatology very soon. Thanks for link and I think I might have both bursitis and fibromyalgia but as I said before want to make sure. Thanks for the best wishes.

Hello bamawing
I didn't believe in chiropractors myself until the prove to me that they work. They have helped me a lot and has proved that too me but I also think that chiropractors are not for everybody because different people have different problems and that the chiropractors can't help every problem. I was seeing a neurologist and he done a lot of test on me and found nothing so I got recommended to go to a chiropractor from a friend and it worked almost all of my problems has gone but I think that the neurologist would have found it sooner of later but I just lucked you and found the problem before he did. I'm trying to get in to see a new doctor which is a rheumatology but I have to get a referral first. Thanks for your concern....Have a good one.

Hey blue bird
I think you are absolutely right about the stubborn doctors pride and all I can say is he wasn't like that when I saw him 8 years ago that is a shame. I wished some doctors would care about there patients more then there pride and money. I started to ask him if he would treat his daughter or mother like he just treated me but I didn't I wish I had of in a way.  I'm a strong believer in what comes around gos around.
Your starting to get angry with my doctor well, now I know you know how I feel and I'm going to take your advise and move on to a rheumatology doctor hopefully he will treat me better. Thanks for your good fortune good health and happiness same to you as well. Have a good day.

Littlelady- I am wondering how you're feeling today, and if you
have an appointment with a new doctor.

Hello bluebird
I know the site web md very well. Very good site and I feel what I read on there is correct. I love it.Thanks for recommending it anyway. I have been checked for so many things my regular doctor done a complete blood count which from what I read has ruled out thyroid problems, lupus, liver disease, lyme disease, and heart disease I believe. There was a few more that I haven't checked out yet that can cause a lot of the same symptoms as fibromyalgia.  I'm feeling o.k today thanks for asking. The Lyrica helps me a lot. I also started taking MSM with glucosamine which has help with my hip swelling and pain but I can't take it everyday the glucosamine keeps me up at night. I have an appointment with a Rheumatologist  this coming Wednesday. I hope he can find out what is causing all my pain. I also have been checked for MS,diabetes, high blood pressure, and for a lot of other things that I can't think of the correct term for them all. I'm hoping this Rheumatologist will find out what it is or if in fact it is fibromyalgia I will be diagnosis by a specialist to make sure.  I will let everyone know what I find out. Wish me luck. You have a good weekend. Talk to you soon. Bye
