New Laptop
« on: Saturday December 22, 2007, 07:51:02 AM »
OK, its a work one, but it's still a new laptop.

It's a Dell Precision M4300. 2GB of memory, 40GB of SATA hard disk drive (How much did I want the 32GB Solid State disk? A lot!), T7700 Dual Core Processor (2.40GHz,4MB L2 Cache). It's got onboard Gigabit wired ethernet, and a fast wireless connection too. The graphics are nVidia QuadroFX based, which is needed for SolidWorks, but I expect it'll run games just as well  ;D

I haven't tried doing anything processor intensive with it yet, but it was specced to run SolidWorks 2007 3D CAD.

Can't seem to get the integrated Blootoof working though. I think I need some updated drivers. We shall see in the new year.
