 Welcome to Skin Cell, DrKris.

I am very sorry that you have psoriasis on your face. I have a small dry spot to the left of my chin that I think looks like psoriasis, but every doctor I have seen told me it is not psoriasis. I am told it is "just dermatitis". I know how you feel. Did a doctor tell you that you have psoriasis on your face?

I have been watching several DVD's on World War II lately, and the occupation of Poland by the Nazi's. The BBC (the British Broadcasting Company) put out a 12 CD set
called "World War II" and one of them show the occupation of Poland during the war.
The people of Poland suffered terribly and had several concentration camps installed there by the Nazi's. Have you ever visited Auswitch? I think the polish name is Oeswitz.

I found a fabulous and informative website on the history of Poland and the present day struggles there, I think you will really enjoy this : http://www.halat.pl/poland.html

Also, remember to go to some of the other forums on here,  there is a forum that is especially for psoriasis. I hope you find some helpful information there.

I know you wrote that you wanted to go to England for treatment. While England is a great country, I am not sure it has the best treatment for psoriasis. Germany seems to be at the top of skin research, although I don't know how you feel about visiting Germany. Smiley France, Australia, China and Brazil also seem to be leading the world in medical breakthroughs in skin research and treatment.

I hope you can read English well enough to understand this long post.

Here is something in Polish, just for you:

Powszechna Deklaracja Praw Człowieka (The Universal Declaration of Human Rights)

 How did I do, DrKris?
With hopes for your good fortune, good health and happiness.

DrKris>  Do you like living in Poland? I know a man from Italy who is teaching in Poland and he is very worried about the economy in Poland for most workers who live there.

What did your dermatologist tell you on Thursday? Are you okay?
     How is your skin doing?

Andi> Here DrKris is trying to learn English and you and I are posting to him in Polish.
Oh, we're good, Andi, real good.  That should help him with his English.  Kiss

DrKris> Yes, definately go to England. You can stay with your cousins on vacation.
You'll learn to speak English with a British accent. That's a good thing.

You have been doing a good job greeting everyone, too, by the way.

Keep up the good work and let us know what the dermatologist did for you.

Write some more and we'll all be happy to critique your English.

 Hello DrKris,

I have used in the past a medicine called Soriatane.
 Soriatane is in English.......acitretin.
And your medicine Roaccutane is very much like the Soriatane.

I do not drink but I know......that you really have to watch out for alcohol!
I also think that your skin will get very dry.......so you will have to put cream!  A Lot!
I hope the medicine Roaccutane will help you MrKris.

Most people will have a lot of relieve for the psoriasis......when they take the sun.
I know that I do.  I hope your skin likes it a lot too and wish you a lot of sun
during the month of July at the Polish sea.  Smiley

DrKris> I have a  friend , who is a teacher in Poland. He is from Italy. He told me that many Polish young people are leaving Poland to find employment, and that might be why you are trying to learn English. You seem to be learning English very quickly. You must have a sharp and quick mind.

 We all wish you well.

My friend wanted me to warn you about some "work camps" in England and some other English speaking countries. I am not familiar with what he is talking about. I have asked him to tell me exactly which work camps he is referring to, and I will give that information to you when he replies.

Please look into the living conditions and the safety of any work camp that you might be thinking about going to. I am concerned about your welfare and your safety. I hope you understand that I am only looking out for your well being. Perhaps the work  that you are seeking is different from what my friend is warning about.

May I ask you, DrKris, are you going to go to a work camp in England? Perhaps you can do some research online to see if everything there is what you are looking for.

I do wish you the best, I wish I could tell you more, but I was only told a little by my friend who lives in Poland, and he wants you to be very careful with where you decide
to go.

With hopes for your good fortune, good health and happiness

From a simple google search , I entered "work camps in England",  there seems to be a lot of different work camps in England, indeed.

I do not know which camps my friend the professor in Poland was warning about.
I wrote to him today to ask him to let me know which work camps he wants you to avoid, and which camps he reccommends.

I also asked him to please write to me in both English and Polish. I know DrKris is doing a fine job learning English, but it would be better to read the professors response in his own native language.

DrKris> You can use www.google.com to search for jobs in England. I found some with my search, and you can too.

Hi Blue Sky, I see what you mean! The accommodation is a bit like a hostel, very simple, these are summer camps I believe. What an awful name to call them *work camps*, makes them sound like forced labour!

Bunnie> Thank you. I agree, a better term is needed. I didn't know these camps existed in England, either, so don't worry about not being aware of them. When I was told, by an Italian older professor friend in Poland, to warn our Polish friend, here, DrKris, about some of the work camps, in England, due to dangerous conditions.  I wanted to pass this information along to DrKris. I just don't have the missing information right now. Just a general warning until I speak to him again, hopefully soon.

DrKris> In order to assist you with your English, I want to ask you a question about your poll question.
I am talking about the very first question in your post, it is called a poll question. Do you wonder why no one has responded to it? Here, let me try to explain that to you.

 Okay, you wrote This:

Question:   I look for friends

                 Hello  1 (100%)
                 Friends  0 (0%)

                 Total Voters: 1

Okay, DrKris: The sentence " I look for friends" is not a question.

It is a very kind statement. It is polite and friendly, yes it is.
Or maybe you meant it just as a statement. People are not sure how to answer it, since it just sounds like a kind and friendly statement, it's a kind thought.

"I look for friends. Hello, friends" It's wonderful, as it is. I just wanted you to know why no one really answered in your poll.

Start another poll and ask another question and I am sure that a lot more people will vote, so start a new poll, for the fun of it, and ask another  question. We'll tell you if it is a question or not? Okay, This could be fun.

Let's hear from you DrKris. I have another question for you:
What does this mean?
DrKris, you wrote this:
I look for in friendly aims switches. Unless some business .

I do not understand, What you are trying to say? Please try asking this one more time, pretty please. What are "aims switches"?

In the interest of trying to help you with your English, I hope I am helping.

With hopes for your good fortune and happiness in all you do.

Hi Drkris  blue sky.

Quote

.
Yes, I wondered about this statement too bluesky.
What do you mean by this statement DrKris?
Am I right in thinking, that you mean ...
I am looking for a "student exchange" situation, or possibly a " friendly exchange arrangement" with someone who is living in England and would like to exchange accommodation with someone in Poland?
OR
Find temporary work and accomodation in England.

Dr Kris,

I have a friend who is Polish. I can have him write to you if you would like? Maybe arrange a date and time and get you both online at the same time?

Well done Andi  Thumbs up - I was thinking along the same lines to try to help Dr Kris - but I don't know anyone who speaks Polish (not since I left West London anyway....)

>Dr Kris - please write your text in both Polish and English, and, perhaps, someone can help?

 Greetings Kris,

So, your boss is getting on your nerves?
Here is a list of jobs on the internet for the UK:
http://www.1job.co.uk/

Try that, I hope you do well with it.

           Good Luck

I have been told that the economy in Poland is really depressed.
It's great that you are willing to go outside your own country to look for work.
With your positive attitude, I am sure you will succeed at whatever you do.

Come back and let us know what happens.

Best wishes for your good luck, good health and happiness

 Hi DrKris,

You're welcome, I hope the jobs website helps you find a new job.

Did your boss abuse you? That's terrible. How can we help?
You've been going through some very difficult times, I hope everything will get better for you. Your job must be very stressful.

I am glad your wife is free of charges. Can you tell us what happened?

Now that you have gone to your dermatologist in Poznan, what did the doctor tell you about your skin problem?

With hopes for your good fortune, good health and happiness

 Hello Kris,
I am glad to read that you made it back from Romania in good health.

How is your skin? Do you have any more appointments with your dermatologist?

I will admit that your English skills are, well, amusing. I think you will get better as you continue to read and write here on this site. So, keep posting and we will
all try to help you.

Sometimes I wonder if you have a difficult time reading what we post.

I thought of you when I saw this website, I know you will enjoy reading this:
http://www.halat.pl/poland.html

To everyone else> Go to this website, it is an amazing perspective on Poland
with breath taking artwork reproduced from the masters also included.

Let me know what everyone thinks of this website. I know DrKris will appreciate
that you can read it in both English and Polish.

I hope you come back and tell me what you think of that website, Kris.

It is enjoyable to watch you try to write in English and we will try to help you
in anyway that we can.

With hopes for your good fortune, good health and happiness.

DrKris, your English is getting better all the time! Well done with your efforts. English is the most difficult language to learn, so I've been told.

I'm also very glad you are feeling better. Any of us who see you in chat will join in if they can I'm sure. It would be a great conversation!

DrKris> Are you okay? What happened, where did you go?

Keep posting and practicing your English with us.

Are you still in Poland? I would guess so, but I know you wanted to get a job and move out.

Come back more often, dude. Don't stay away for so long.  Wink

Hi again Dr Kris. May I correct your English?
enjoy that I am with you.  = "I am glad to hear from you all," or,  "I enjoy being here with you"
I will be more often here. = I will be here more often
I learn all the time English. = "I am learning English all the time"
There now difficult this is. =  not sure about this Drkris? Do you mean, "Learning English is difficult?"
I greet you

I think he might mean that we know how difficult [English] is to learn?

I worked in a multi-cultural organization. Was one of the most interesting I've had. Thought I was on holiday everyday -- and such delicious ethnic foods would be brought in -- no garbanzo beans though (that I was aware off)............ Roll Eyes but might have been in some of those Indian dips.........0h yum

  Hey there, DrKris,
I like the new photo of you standing by your car.
Are you going to stay in Poland?
How is your boss treating you now?

I hope you don't mind if we correct your English.
We are only going to do it if you want us to,
and you do want us to correct your English, right?

Now you did it, Kris, you have me saying "I Greet"

I think you are introducing a new phrase into English.
It will probably be in the dictionary of new phrases
before too long.  Grin

You're cool.
