This might be a bit controversial
« on: Thursday February 02, 2006, 11:06:55 AM »
Has anyone tried Urine Therapy before?  Some people say that rubbing urine on your skin does great things for it.  There are even some people who drink it.  I've read some stories about people curing eczema as well as other very bad diseases with Urine therapy, I thin it's also called Uropathy.

Here are some links with information.

It makes no sense to me.

I mean, my body decided to eliminate what's in the urine once. Now, I'm going to say it was wrong and I'm going to put the stuff back in/on me?

Uh, no thanks, that's not for me.

my thoughts exactly Alohama ! Surely the body has taken all it needs from it and that is the rubbish being expelled ?

drinking it ?

Is there any medical research to back up these claims ?

I've heard pee-pee stories on other alternative forums. Some people actually claim to have had success with urine treatments, both topical and (ug) oral. But this was on top of a plethora of other alternative remedies so who knows how much good it did?

Funny thing, my boss at work who has E has told me about the same kind of treatment, only topically though, but I don't think it's for me, thanks.

I saw a documentary about fifteen years ago on this.  People literally chilled their urnine and drank it like wine... at urine parties!

Weeellll...

It isn't exactly my cuppa tea either, but Urea, which is found in a lot of creams to treat dermatitis/eczema, is derived from uric acid, aka pee pee.  I think it has something to do with the acidity of it restoring moisture to the skin.

I would in a heartbeat, even less than that.

I'd bathe in manure if it meant the cure.

Oh my!!

You guys are soo funny!!

Urine therapy does work if you eat a clean diet...

I've actually tried it and followed all the instructions...

I guess you have to get your mind round the idea that urine is not waste  product, but contains traces of excess minerals and vitamins that your body didn't need.  It's also like your own manufactured natural antibiotic... It would never be toxic to you...

Urine (old urine that is) is very good for burns and heals sores superfast...

If your diet is very clean with lots of veg and fruit and lots of water, you'll find the taste to be quite interesting...

Normally taken midstream during the morning - 1st time in the loo...

Sposed I've thoroughly grossed everyone out now...LOL

Yuk yuk and triple yuk! While I believe in recycling I would only do this if there was nothing else to drink and it was an emergency situation. The old gagometer would be on high. (But if it works, bottoms up! Cheers etc. Down the hatch!)

Well,If it works it works I guess...The only time I've ever known pee to be useful for me was when I got hit by a jellyfish.I think it was a kamikaze jellyfish, the lil ****** ( :o Ed Bot!  :-X ) came outta no where.  ;) The pee took the pain out of it.Got some funny looks from a couple ppl on the beach when I was standing there screaming like a lil girl and pee'ing all over my leg
