Whatup? I've been suffering through God knows what for about a year, and all the research I have done has been rather fruitless. It's been sort of like jock itch, hyperhydrosis, and excema all at once. THEY hurt, (you know... they!! them!!... AND IT!!) I think you get my drift. It's like wherever my skin touches itself, there's some sort of freaky reaction. I can't even go for much of a walk before I sweat like mad and it just about kills me. My Dr. doesn't seem to know what to do AND doesn't seem to give a crap. My skin is red to purple... there, and my underarms are VERY uncomfortable. I've applied aloe vera... there. and it does seem to alleviate much of the discomfort. Doctor says that there is not any sort of microrganism activity, biopsy and all being about as much fun as (insert your carefully crafted explictive here). I am VERY concerned that it may be spreading down the backs of my legs.... I am about at my wits end, and that's REALLY bad considering I have a lot of them. I can't afford a doctor anymore, and the meds are really expensive for me. I just don't know what to do. Could really use the advice and resources. Much appreciated. ACK

Welcome to Skincell Ack! Have you had a read thru this thread yet? http://www.skincell.org/yabbse/index.php/topic,6925.0.htmlAre you a man or a woman? This might sound like a daft question since you have described your itch as jock itch but I was just wondering if your excessive sweating could be linked to your hormones or the change of life.

Welcome to Skincell, ACK! (I know your signoff definately describes how most of us feel about our skin sometimes!) Sounds honestly like it might be HS... just a guess. Boil-like thingies that looks like pimples on steriods, ropelike whelts the size of your thumb? Hope you get some relief soon... I know what it's like when your skin is driving you crazy.

I've read CP and other's post who have HS and it is not like that. No Boil-like thingies.... Although I really, really, REALLY want to send some love to those with HS because that sounds REALLY BLOODY AWFUL! My sincere question is how does one with such a severe skin disorder (especially.... there) manage not to go completely, absolutely, stark raving mad? 'Cause I feel about there! Much love, ACK

Hi, Just when I start my pity party for the day, I read your post. There is an old story that says if we all piled our troubles in a corner and could choose whichever one we wanted....9 times out of 10, we would choose our own....mine doesn't seem so bad after reading a lot of the post on here. I don't know if you are relegious or not, but I will put in a prayer for you anyway....can't hurt and might help...

I really try not to have hose type of days where I feel sorry for me or anyone. I don't think that they are very effective at all. But some days I seem to have cake and streamers and balloons and Faygo showers and all kinds of other party accessories. And I say, "Hooray, bleep the world and every bleeping person in it. They can all go and bleeping bleep themselves with a bleeping cactus. And bleep me too while I'm at it! Bleeping rotten bleeping day!" (Thanks to Gobe for the "family-friendly" suggestions.) And these are the days where I suffer worst, I tire myself out so easily, and it feels pretty damn hopeless. And then I find this website and I'm like, "Damn, I'm a bleeping crybaby, look at all THESE folks who got it WAY worse than I do. I should shut the bleep up, suck it up and remember that no matter how bad the itching gets, or how sore I am I got it good in comparison." All I do is itch like crazy, but then I read about others who can't even walk, or go outside... or sleep. I've still been blessed. Now if I could remember this kinda thing all the time, I'd be in a lot better shape. Besides, stress really makes it a lot worse.

After being referred to our panel of judges, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Censorship Bot-scripts awards you, ackitchurts with... The Q-Bert award for services to bleeping! This is a prestigious award given to those who self-censor and give the long suffering ed-bot a rest Congratulations!

Welcome to the forum Ack ! Hey, dont worry, we all have those days where we wallow, its allowed ! I think all skin diseases are so hard to cope with, with most of them having no cure and sometimes they are so relentless. We are here for you, good day or bad ! I'm sorry the docs dont seem to be helping, after the money you spent you would expect at least a diagnosis. If the docs havnt allready, I suggest they do either some bloodwork or swabs to see if there is any bugs agravating your condition. All I can offer is a bit of common sense basic advise, that you are probably allready doing. Cool daily showers with an antibacterial wash Pat dry and apply a mild unscented moisturizer Wear cotton underwear and lose clothing Try not to scratch as you could cause infection through broken skin. Try applying an ice pack if its hot and itchy.
