PLEASE READ............... SKINCELL COUNCIL

Following the last Skincell Council decision there have been a number of posts both questioning the validity of this decision and speculation on the return of those deleted. This has caused untold upset to the members who were affected by the actions that led to the Council sitting.

In future the Councils decision will be final. There will be an Information Only thread on the outcome of decisions and there will be no Forum discussion regarding that decision. This may be seen as a Draconian measure but given that some members are unable to respond appropriately to requests to end discussion it is one that is deemed necessary.

Please do not take lightly any Council decisions. Members should be aware that the council exists to provide an impartial and unbiased view of issues that may arise within Skincell. Nick, as owner of Skincell has the right to do whatever he chooses but he chose to give these decisions to the members (i.e. council)

The Council is a representation of the full membership of Skincell. As well as Moderators we have members who are in good standing and are chosen for their moderate and thoughtful postings. I am a member of long standing. Many of you do not know me but a fair number do although you wouldn't know I am Head of Council. I am not a Moderator and, except in the instances of the Council being called, I have no say whatever in the day to day running of Skincell as do none of the general members of the Council.

As a Council we sift through sometimes hours of evidence before we reach a decision. Everybody has an opportunity to offer their input and the decision is only accepted when there is a clear majority, as there was in these cases.

By the time the decision is posted, discussion is complete. Members who carry on discussing the thread are undermining the very ethos of the Council.
