I have psoriasis and I'm overweight.  I do think it contributes a little bit, but not all.  I have blamed the weightgain on the birth of my son.  I was bedridden after I gave birth.  I have not been able to get the weight off.   I also had psoriasis at the age 3 and I was the skinnest child ever until I hit my senior year in High school.  I then put on a little weight but not much.  It all happened after my son birth.

Those of you who are not over weight or underweight do you think your flare ups may have anything to do with hormones (girls that time especially)?
I am new on here and not sure if i have replyed in the right place or not, so my appologises if i haven't. I suffer with Psoriasis and think there is a link with hormones. If i have psoriasis before pregnancy and get pregnant, within the first three months of pregnancy my psoriasis completely disappears only to return within three months of my baby being born. I have justed redeveloped Pysoriasis again now after developing a virus and tonsilitis before xmas and had trouble with my periods at the same time. My doctor said the virus etc could have brought on the psoriasis but it is said to be stress related, although i haven't been under any stress over xmas. I hope you are able to fine out more about the link with hormones.
