To people suffering with Eczema. There is a relatively new treatment developed in 2009 by researchers at Northwestern University. It utilizes taking a diluted Bleach Bath twice a week. People on this simple treatment had a FIVEFOLD reduction in their eczema after three months. They suspect the Bleach bath kills staph bacteria in the skin. Here is a link:

I also think diluted bleach baths helped my son.  He is 12 and we have battled eczema from the time he was only a few months old.  He has had multiple skin ifections and was developing alergies to antibiotics.  He had been on oral steriods off and on, as well as antibiotics and eczema would flare as soon as we began the tapering for the steriods.
We tried the diluted bleach baths, alternating bleach bath and regular bath for only 4 days.  After his baths he would apply a good coat of pure mineral oil.  It has been a couple of months now and his skin is much better.  He still has to watch his diet, and has flare ups when exposed to some of his triggers, but it is much easier to control than it was before the bleach baths.  I wish all the best, this is one of the most heart breaking conditions and can make you feel so hopeless....but don't give up.  It's an ongoing battle, but watch and listen to your body it wants to be healthy, just sometimes it's hard to figure what it needs for us to help it.   Hugs
