I did it once on a dare... It won me $20! He said it was worth every penny just to see my face. I shot it straight, but I think drinking it with water wouldn't be so bad. But you'll want to do it on a fullish stomach, because I felt waaaay woozy afterward.

Try it in a bit of water - otherwise it's so strong you can gag on it, choke a bit, and if it comes back out your nose - there's pain!!!

I have also heard of people with acne mixing it with water and applying it to their skin as a toner with good results.
I'm thinking of picking some up and giving it a try.

I started taking ACV too recently to aid digestion. I dilute it with a lot of water and chase it down with more water.

Yeah, backitup, it isn't that bad. I think the flax oil I take is worse, and I can't handle it plain so I buy plenty of yogurt to mix the oil in.

I really don't know back it up, I think it's just a matter of preference. They both have a considerable amount of EFA's in them.

Hi, I'm a new member here.
Here's a good suggestion to take the apple cider vinegar: add a table spoon of ACV and a table spoon of honey in a cup of lukewarm water, drink it first thing in the morning. It taste a lot better than just the vinegar.

A colleague took ACV without water and it 'burned' her throat. I think it's a good idea to mix it with water, which is what I do. I use Bragg's ACV to soak my pompholyx blisters on hands and feet.

Is flax oil better than Omega fish oil's?
Actually, Cod Liver Oil is better than Flax Seed Oil Here is an excerpt from Dr. Mercola's web site: http://www.mercola.com/2003/jan/1/fish_oil.htm"Nearly everyone seems to benefit from omega-3 oils, as most Americans are deficient in this nutrient. The sad tragedy, however, is that nearly all fish are contaminated with mercury so it is not safe to consume fish as a source of these oils. Instead, we are forced to seek molecularly refined sources of omega-3 fish oil. Some people choose flax seeds for their source of omega-3 oils. This is not the optimal source for most though, because the ALA found in flax seeds needs to be converted to long-chain omega-3 fats, and this conversion process is impaired in many. More importantly, ALA is not equivalent in its biological effects to the long-chain omega-3 fats found in marine oils. Experimental studies suggest that intake of 3 to 4 grams of ALA per day is equivalent to 0.3 grams (300 mg) of EPA per day. EPA and DHA are more rapidly incorporated into plasma and membrane lipids and produce effects more rapidly than does ALA. Further, there are relatively large reserves of omega-6 linolenic acid in your body fat that tends to slow down the formation of long-chain omega-3 fats like EPA and DHA from ALA. So in addition to consuming omega-3 fat you will want to lower your intake of most omega-6 fat as nearly all of us consume far too much, causing the delicate omega 6:3 ratio to become unbalanced." If you switch to Cod Liver Oil, I recommend Carlson's brand because of the extremely low/nonexistent mercury. I take a large Tablespoon every morning.

Regarding the ACV...I have done this for a long time. While there are pills, the vinegar itself is less expensive. Since it's not the best taste, this is what I do: Take 8 ounces of water and add two TEASPOONS of ACV. Heat to warm (not hot!) Add two teaspoons honey. Mix well and drink. The honey helps add sweetness, and this makes it taste rather like diluted cider, not vinegar. Honey is also something that can help reduce allergy symptoms, as many of you may know. Try to get honey from your area that has been made from local flowers, which are the likely allergy bad guys.

I have been using apple cider viegar as a weight loss remedy. Mixing 2 tablespoons in about 8oz of water and drinking it before each meal helps burn fat faster. drinking it with a garlic pill supposedly produces greater results.

I tried this awhile back. I should've never stopped, but i got busy with my life--you know how that goes.
Anyway, when i first started doing it i used to mix the 2 tablespoons with honey and the water and drink it down. It wasn't easy either--it really tastes awful!
So then i started downing the 2 tablespoons FIRST and THEN chasing it with the water. Not as bad really.
Down those 2 tablespoons quickly!

I was told that this is good for my animals too, to clean their ears I use alcohol, water and ACV. They also say it is good for UTI's...

Okay so people have been saying that they use ACV for weight loss, but I was just wanting to know if anyone has actually lost the weight. I just now started drinking it so I just wanted to know if it was worth it. Thanks!

I am now using ACV for granuloma anulare. I take about half a teaspoon in a 16 oz glass of water once a day. I have been on it for 1 week and my GA has cleared up entirely on one elbow and halfway on the other. I was shocked at how fast it is working since I am taking such a small amount of it. I have had this condition for 5 years and nothing has helped! This is such a cheap, painless remedy compared to others. I know it won't work for everyone but it is definitely worth a shot. The pill form is not supposed to be as effective (the mg's are very low and it does not get into your bloodstream as well). BRAGGS APPLE CIDER VINEGAR RULES!

I also tried the raw apple cider vinegar to rid my skin of granulaoma annulare. I took it for weeks with no change. Guess it works for some and not for others. Congrats to you Sue-Z
