Skin Condition: Disseminated Superficial Actinic Porokeratosis (DSAP)

Hi all,
I posted a rather extensive message on DSAP. I am looking to hear about others' stories. This is a genetic disease that is mostly found in women. I think that it is autosomal dominant. I first found out that I had it when I was 21. I have asked dermatologists about it, but nothing has really worked. I think that the disease is not well understood. I am thinking that there may be ways that we can better deal with the condition, but have yet to see any results from non-specific DNA-damaging agents, such as 5'-fluoro-uracil, the gold standard for current treatment. (See my other post under DSAP).
It is too bad that we don't have any ways of treating this. The disease, when it is strictly caused by the sun (no genetic part), is detectable by certain changes in DNA structure, that are characterizable by DNA sequencing. These so-called UV damage hot spots are statistically different from those in DSAP, the genetic keratoses. I will continue my reading, but so far, nothing else is new...
