Another Classic Brit Movie !

I watched this one last night after getting it in the bargain bucket. It has the cream of our Cult British actors, Jude Law when he had a bit of credibility ie before 'Alfie'  Roll Eyes Ray Winstone, Rhys Ifans, Sadie Frost and many more......check it out.

If you liked : Lock Stock, Snatch, Layer Cake, Final Cut etc.....then you will love this, cant believe I left this one so long !

ADDED :
I was just looking around at the reviews for this one, seems the American Critics hated it but us Brits loved it. Its dark, dry comedy, voilent and down right crude in places ie Denise Van Outen demonstrating Felatio on a cucumber & the scene where they all took a Viagra  Lips Sealed  laugh

I'd completely fogotten about this film, yet I really enjoyed it! Very crudely funny. I particularly liked Kathy Burke.

I've added it to my Netflix queue.

It should arrive sometime next week.  I like Jude Law as an actor, but he needs to take a tip from Hugh Grant and occassionally get away from these soggy romantic flics (until he permanently gets away from them).

He made a really good Errol Flynn in THE AVIATOR, and I liked the fact that he humbled himself enough to play the part of the faceless narrator in LEMONY SNICKET AND A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS

Ahh yes, I forgot Jude did the narration on Lemony Snicket !

Well Gary, I much preferred Jude before Hollywood got hold of him and his head expanded.  Roll Eyes I dunno tho, I think Hugh plays the romantic idiot very well and is most suited to it. We were just watching Notting Hill again the other night.  Embarrassed

Grin aTraxi, yes I love Kathy Burke too. Altho, she isnt in Final Cut, its another one by the same director, with much the same cast that is Class also !

....and if you like Ray Winstone, his best yet that I have seen is Sexy Beast !  Grin

My fave British star lately is Rhys Ifans. Hes a strange looking Welsh guy. He was in Nottinghill as the mad flatmate, hes in Love, Honour & Obey, Twin Town, Once upon a Time in the Midlands, 51st State, Kevin and Perry....and probably more that I cant think of..... All brilliant movies in my opinion.

Word also has it that Jude Law will be playing General Zod (originally played by Terrance Stamp) in the new Superman movie.

This movie was great, BTW.

I watched it three times in one week before I returned it.

The opening was hilarious and got me right into it.

What else should I check out?

"Mate, you're fat and I'll throw you in the river." and the one when Pertwee was screaming at his cousin for the Enter The Dragon bit, "I've got kids... Kids f***ing burn..."

Also... homina,homina,homina... boing...
