THE first briefing in the Scottish Parliament on psoriasis is set to take place next week.

MSPs will be briefed on the painful skin condition by experts, and will be shown slides revealing the trauma of coping with psoriasis, a common and non-infectious disorder of the skin and joints which causes bleeding and scaling skin patches. It is also associated with disabling inflammatory arthritis, which can cripple.

The Psoriasis Scotland Arthritis Link Volunteers has helped organise next Wednesday's event, which will be chaired by Helen Eadie MSP.
