Just been reading through this thread after being pointed towards it (I am sooooo far behind with everything). Sad

From what I can see most people would like to have a RB twice a year, one south and another north of England. So can a few southerners give us/me an idea of where they would like the southern meet to be please? Then I can do some research into accommodation etc (that is if everyone want's me too of course). Undecided

One suggestion I would make for a southern meet, would be somewhere near the Bristol area as so many of our members seem to live that way on. Maybe north Devon, Somerset or South Wales would be good and hopefully both places would prove easy to get to for the rest of those living south. Undecided

What I would suggest is that we have one RB early June, as we did last year and it worked out fine, then another one late September early October the other end of the country. Blackpool is great at the back-end of the year (as well as earlier in the year) as there are the beautiful lights to see and we can get some reasonably priced accommodation. But of course we could do it the other way round if wanted.

I personally agree that holding a RB at Alton Towers, Butlins or Pontins could prove difficult for many members, as not all of us are able to go on the rides, and of course everyone would have to book early to be sure of getting accommodation. Going on the last couple of bashes, there have been a few people who have wanted to go but at the last minute have had to back out, and also people who have wanted to join in at the last minute as well. If we try to book at either Pontins or Butlins this would cause a problem as a) they often don't give refunds and b) they get booked up really quickly. So normal hotels or B&B's would be the better idea IMHO.

As this needs to be sorted out ASAP for many reasons (such as booking holiday off of work etc), could we have some idea of how many people would prefer a southern or northern RB in June please?

Some good points there, Val Smiley

Hopefully I could get to north and south bashes - Im seriously working on my transport problems (i.e 4 bikes, 3 out of service!).
