Count me in - I would love to meet everyone and just relaxa in a friendly environment with people that won't stare! I would certainly vote for Blackpool as a good party city..... If possible I would ask that you don't choose somewhere like Alton Towers - me and I suspect many others have conditions that effect our feet and therefore can't walk for great distances and need to be guaranteed seating. I have alsways loved Alton Towers - but having to sit everything out and stay in the same place all day because my fit were bad would just really depress me!

ooohhh!!!! UK rash bash huh?! That's much more doeable for me coming from Italy! this could actually be alot of fun. i'll have to drag my bf with me though, hoping he'd want to come to meet all your crazies!! Hi 008, Of course your BF would be most welcome. One of the great things about the Rash Bashes is being able to meet our long-suffering partners

AC, Nothing would please me more than to spend some quality time with a really international flavour to a Rash Bash I'm game for that one

HCL, I agree I dont think Alton towers is a good place to hold the Rash Bash either,I thought Blackpool was a good venue last year,So maybe we should stick to seaside resorts, Ian PS As for alton towers we could just arrange a day trip there and that would cut down on overnight accomadation. as the park shuts about 6.00..for anyone who would be interested.

Rosie and I will be at next. I agree Alton Towers isn't a good venue for a meet. We still have to decide where? Could have Blackpool again, but also being central for our Northern and Southern members is some of the North Wales coast resorts?

I used to go to Talacre beach as a kid and while thats not suitable (we'd need to own or book caravans), Prestatyn is very nearby. I dont know what amusements are there to keep kids amused now, though.

If we are planning on having 2 bashes a year,I think 1 should be on the same weekend and place every year[I know you have suggested that a few times Peter] that way people can plan ahead ,even anyone from the US could make plans .Maybe London should be concidered for a venue.. Ian

There is a lot of accomodation around Alton Towers - and of course for those lottery winners out there, there are the hotels within the grounds (good if you have little 'uns)

Its hard to get locations which are suitable for every member as we're so spread out..i think having a few rash bashes a year on the same dates each year could work for most as the locations could be spread across the country so members could at least make one bash a year.

I've been to Alton Towers when i was younger and yes i did have a good time but to be honest, i dont think as a rash bash, its going to work. Most of the members do suffer from 'spin offs' from their skin conditions such as PA and i for one at the moment dont think i could handle one ride just now. It would be so much money to go and then not be able to go on any rides. In theory, good idea, in practise...might cause some members a few worries and problems and might discourage them from going which would be such a shame.

Sorry to intrude, but I quite like this idea... We can do it for US bash too. Set a date and location every year to be the same, and the second bash would be flexible. I think again in theory this is great, but in practice I wonder if this would even work at all... And I do want to visit London sometime so let me know if there is a bash. - lurker
